The Nordic Heritage club was founded by Carolyn Spargo
Of Chaska, and Carol Vadnais of Victoria.
It was started as a spin-off from the friends of Andrew
Peterson , but became its own separate group, yet is still
Affiliated with Friends of Andrew Peterson. At times, both
Group will come together as one to put on certain events.
Both Carols had a vision of a Nordic social club
To give Carver County residents a closer place to meet
Their fellow Nordic neighbors.
Since, the club has had many successful meetings with a
Different theme each month. The first place the group met
“The acorn house” in victoria, had to be demolished for
Expansion to the neighboring community center. We now
Meet in the Victoria city hall right in the unique little town.
We welcome everyone to our meetings. Swedes, Danes,
Finns, and Icelandics. No Norwegians please!
(Just-a kidding you know!) Even if you aren’t Nordic, but
Are Nordic at heart, then you are also welcome.
Each meeting we try to incorporate something for the
Younger ones. Please bring the little ones. They can have a
Fun time too!
The Nordic Heritage Clubs Purpose is To:
Preserve and Educate the Nordic culture in
Carver County through monthly gathering
and sponsoring special events, to support the
-Friends of Andrew Peterson- A branch of
the Nordic Heritage Club, And to further
more the history and Culture of Nordic Countries.
